The Museum is once again open for visitors, with restrictions in compliance with the CDC, State of Alabama and county regulations regarding the COVID – 19 virus.
 
New Guidelines for Touring Monroe County Museum:
 
WELCOME! – Please see the following requirements for touring the Museum and visiting the Bird’s Nest Gift Shop.
 

• If you have had fever within 72 hours of this visit, or have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus, please reschedule your visit. Thank you for helping keep everyone safe.
   

• All visitors, staff and volunteers are required to wear masks or other face coverings. Please provide your own face coverings. If you do not have a mask or face covering, the museum will provide one to you.
   

• Hand sanitizing stations can be found inside the Museum. Please avail yourself to hand sanitizers as needed.
   

• Please maintain 6 feet social distancing between visitors in groups other than your own.
   

• We will sanitize surfaces regularly. Please refrain from touching surfaces inside the Museum except for stair railings.
   

• In addition to hand sanitizing stations, restrooms are available for hand-washing. Please follow the CDC recommended 20-second hand washing guidelines.
